Canyon Glows Orange: Bouncing Light

Just got done with two more weddings and several portrait shoots! They were all a BLAST and the couples were awesome. Standby for a photo or two as I am finishing editing right now!

In the mean time enjoy this photo I took last year...photo is NOT color enhanced. This is what this canyon looks like underground after light bounces around orange rock and finally finds it's way down to the bottom.

Photo Tip #2: Turn the Camera "Crooked" for Variety

My previous photo tip #1 picture has something in common with this INFRARED photo of the Golden Gate bridge...they both are "crooked"!

Every once in a while turn your camera off angle and TAKE A "CROOKED" PHOTO!

Notice how the subject runs from one corner to the opposite corner as compared to the normal across the middle of the photo from left to right. This sometimes gives photos an extra "spark".

Words of warning: (1) Use discretely, no one wants to see this all the time (2) Make sure you have the subject go from corner to the opposite corner or the photo will really look "misaligned" and this effect will not work in my opinion.

Try it yourself at random times and you may be surprised at what you get!

Just returned from the 2011 Hall of Fame induction for the NFL! What a blast. Got to meet Marshall Faulk, Shannon Sharpe and the other inductees. Was particularly impressed with Shannon...what a class act!
